Challenge the obvious.
THE INQUIRY
It started with something
hiding in plain sight.
That observation became the foundation for Cultural Normalization and The Normalization Effect™. It opened the door to a larger inquiry—and The Rethink Project™ is where that work lives.
How does something we once would have questioned become something we accept as normal?
Organizations don’t wake up one morning and decide to tolerate dysfunction. People don’t suddenly agree to stop speaking up. Leaders don’t set out to create systems that keep producing problems they are actively trying to solve.
It happens over time. People learn what gets rewarded, what gets ignored, and what happens when they challenge the way things are done. Workarounds stick around. Exceptions become routine. Yesterday’s decisions become today’s assumptions.
Noticed → Ignored → Tolerated → Accepted → Defended
That observation became the foundation for Cultural Normalization and The Normalization Effect™.
It opened the door to a larger inquiry—and The Rethink Project™ is where that work lives.
DISCERNMENT OVER DISRUPTION
The point isn’t to rethink everything.
Some things work exactly as they should. Some traditions have earned their place. Sometimes “the way we’ve always done it” is still the right way to do it.
The Rethink Project™ isn’t an argument for change for the sake of change. It is an invitation to look more closely at the difference between what still works and what we’ve simply gotten used to.
